Nursery School

Walton Lane is a Lancashire local authority maintained nursery school which offers high quality free nursery education to children from the term after their 3rd birthday.

Nursery Sessions

09:00 am - 12:00 pm

01:00 pm - 04:00 pm

Additional childcare is available

between:

7:30am and 6:00pm

 

We believe that children have a natural enthusiasm for learning and our highly qualified staff support and encourage this by providing engaging and fun opportunities for children to develop their abilities in a supportive and caring environment.

We maintain a ratio of 1 staff member to 13 children in Nursery School session times and 1 staff member to 8 children during Breakfast, Lunch and After School Club sessions.

Every child will be allocated a key person, who will be your first contact in nursery who will get to know your child really well through observations, interactions and through communicating with you. They will plan to meet your child's interests and next steps.

07:30am - 09:00am	Breakfast Club (including school children) Breakfast finishes 8:15am.
09:00am - 09:30am	Group time.
09:30am - 11:40am	Child led play & adult led planned activities both indoors & outdoors.
11:40am - 12:00pm	Group time.
12:00am - 01:00pm	Lunch.
01:00pm - 01:30pm	Group time.
01:30pm - 03:40pm	Child led play & adult led planned activities both indoors & outdoors.
03:40pm - 04:00pm	Group time.
04:00pm - 06:00pm	After School Clubs (including meal).

Primary School Admissions

Your child will be entitled to a Primary School place from the age of 4 years.
